Dakota came to our branch on the 19th March 2025
She is available for adoption either as a pair with Dahlia, or to a home with another cat or dog. Dahlia is thought to be around 3 years old.
She is not yet housetrained, she has been through some stress in her life, so is looking for company and care in her new home. They have previously lived with other dogs but are looking for a slower pace!
Dakota is a little on the shy side but will soon warm up to you once she’s comfortable.
*Please ask about their adoption fee, as they are breed standard animals*
Dakota is a miniature dachshunds, meaning that you may spot these behaviour patterns:
- Dachschunds are keen to play, and dachshunds as a breed are known to chase after mops or chase after dropped items, so ensure you’re able to provide them with plenty of games!
- Dachshunds are typically strong-willed, meaning that obedience training is a must – especially so with these girls who are still in need of house training!
- You’ll need to keep Dakota busy with plenty of mental stimulation and exercise, around 2 walks a day is best or plenty of garden playtime as they only have little legs!
